Official Guidelines

RC Competition Rules

Rules formulated by TnT RC Designs and Performance and published on RCPinas as the community standard reference. Class 1 specs are SORRCA-based; Class 2 specs are SORRCA and WRCCA-based; Class 3 (Sporty Ultimate) specs are SORRCA C3 and WRCCA Performance-based. All rigs subject for inspection before running.

Class 2 — 1/10 Scale

General Requirements (all C2 sub-classes)

  • Front bumper required (min chassis width — applicable to Pro-Stock Center and Open only)
  • Chassis must be 3 inches longer than wheelbase (chassis-mounted bumper included in chassis length)
  • Hardbody or Lexan — driver preference
  • No Dig · No 4WS · No switching OD · No switching diff open/lock · No 2-speed Rig must be set before running — activation during run is grounds for disqualification
  • No cheater body cut in RTR and Pro-Stock — body cut must follow chassis line
Sub-Classes

Made for beginners to enjoy their out-of-the-box rigs with basic rules and a scale focus. Commonly out-of-the-box or lightly upgraded builds.

  • Tires and wheels (wheel well can be trimmed slightly)
  • Weights
  • Shocks
Pre-Requisites
  • No bent links
  • No body or shock modification
  • No out-of-the-box comp rigs
  • Stock front and rear bumper — no aftermarket unless matching stock specs
  • Bumper before tires only
  • Chassis (with bumper) must be 3 inches longer than wheelbase
  • Not a built rig

Heavily modded, upgraded, and tuned stock rigs — including out-of-the-box comp rigs and built stock comp rigs. Any mods within the C2 specifications are allowed.

Chassis Rules
  • C or flat rails allowed — must be Center Skid (no forward skid links)
  • Chassis (with bumper) must be 3 inches longer than wheelbase
  • Tire before front bumper allowed
Minimum Body Specs
  • Full body — coffin body shape (e.g. Cliffhanger, Tucked, Coyote)
  • Cab body — no exposed rails, bed (min between rails), bed sides, tailgate not required
  • No cheater cut

Comp Stock Build Guideline
  • Chassis-mounted servo (CMS) only
  • Zero degree skid angle
  • Stock links for center skid — whether straight or bent

Angled center skid chassis are allowed as upgrade stock rigs — up to 6° (VRD) only. Not allowed on custom built rigs.

The pinnacle of Class 2 — performance-oriented. All driver preference within the C2 specifications and dimensions.

  • Open to all chassis — any skid angle or skid orientation
  • Coffin-type body minimum for full body users
  • Exposed rails allowed (seen in cab-only builds)
  • Cheater cut allowed — body cut that follows the chassis line
C3
TnT Sporty Ultimate — Sporty Class 3
Performance · SORRCA C3 + WRCCA Pro Class · 16" gate

A pure performance class inspired by original Class 3 rigs like the Axial Wraith as a baseline — then taken to the next level. Specs draw from SORRCA Class 3 ruling (Dig & 4WS) and WRCCA Performance specs tailored for what is currently available in the local scene. Built not only to climb, but to traverse sidehill with ease.

  • Class 1 or Class 2 extended axles — not allowed
Drivetrain & Chassis
  • Tranny plate orientation — forward, center, or rear
  • Skid angle — zero degrees (flat) up to whatever your build can run
  • Chassis length — user preference, any 1/10 chassis, no limit
  • 4WS and Dig — can be used simultaneously or independently (SORRCA Class 3)
Not Allowed
  • Switching overdrive (OD)
  • Tank turn
  • 2-speed transmission

These restrictions keep the class fair and accessible to all competitors.
